Crunchy paneer Fingers | KFC style paneer fingers
This crunchy paneer recipe is a perfect appetizer for any party or get together. You can make this as an evening snack as well, I bet your kids will love them, mine does. This is a quick and easy – pure vegetarian dish. Crispy on the outside and perfectly soft on the inside. Surprise your guests with this dish and I’m sure you will get amazing feedback J
Ingredients:
Paneer – 200gms
Chilli powder – 1 tbsp
Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
Garam masala powder – 1 tsp
Pepper powder – 1 tsp
Ginger Garlic Paste – 2 tbsp
Maida flour – 2 tbsp
Corn flour – 2 tbsp
Salt – to taste
Bread crumbs – for coating
Oil – for frying
Method:
The batter:

Take a bowl and add all the dry ingredients
- 1 tbsp of Chilli powder
- 1 tbsp of Coriander powder
- ¼ tsp of Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp of Garam masala powder
- 1 tsp of Pepper powder
- 2 tbsp of Maida flour
- 2 tbsp of Corn flour
- Salt – to taste
And 2 tbsp of Ginger garlic paste.
- Mix well, before adding water. Then add water in parts. This way, we can avoid any lumps in the batter. Keep mixing.
- The batter should be thick, but flowing consistency.
Preparing the Paneer:
- Cut the paneer into thin long sticks.
- Coat the paneer sticks on all sides with the prepared batter.
- Cover and let it marinate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Do not freeze it. This will induce as much as flavor into the paneer.

After 30 minutes, take the marinated paneer and coat it with bread crumbs.
Note: if you don’t have breadcrumbs, take some oats or corn flakes in a mixie jar and grind it roughly. Use this ground mixture to coat the paneer sticks. This will give the same crunchy effect.
Frying the Paneer Fingers:
- In a thick bottomed pan, heat oil. The oil must be sizzling hot.
- Add the paneer one by one.
- Flip them regularly for even cooking on all sides.
- Fry the paneer till they turn golden brown. Remove from pan.
- Your yummy crunchy paneer finger is ready. Serve hot with tomato sauce or mayonnaise.
